GRC Students Also: Speed Networking Event

It will be the first of what is intended to be an annual occurrence:
CSN Speed Networking Event

Friday, March 21, 2014 • 12 noon to 2:00 pm • Whitley Student Lounge • CSN Cheyenne campus.

This is a great opportunity for students to get real feedback during an interview for potential internships at a number of local organizations. Get feedback on dress attire, handshake, communication skills, résumé quality, level of professionalism, attitude, preparedness, technical knowledge, etc.

Sign up today.
But you must apply. Seating is limited.
Download the flyer about the event with an  an application form.

Students will be given five minutes to sell themselves to the interviewer and his/her company on why they are the “best fit” based on the interview questions you have over the course of five minutes.  After five minutes, you will have an opportunity to be critiqued on how to improve your interview skills and and to learn about any available internship opportunities at their company.  There will no obligation for the company to provide an internship; the interview feedback alone will be invaluable.

What is “Speed Networking”?
Like speed dating, it is an accelerated way of connecting and getting right down to the point.  CSN is basing this Speed Networking event on Michigan State University’s Speed Networking event and the University of Rhode Island’s “Tell me about yourself interview, bad versus good” interview.
These brief videos demonstrate how this works.
